Drop-in at any time in the day to learn about our program for families with infants, toddlers and preschoolers. Pick up an information package, see the program space, and learn about a typical program morning which includes music, movement, art, storytelling, and free play/exploration. Free Child Health Fair, Chandler Mowat Community Centre, 222 Chandler Drive, Kitchener

Thursday, September 9th, 3:30pm-7:30pm

This free child health fair is an opportunity for children to have a growth and development , dental (age 0-6), and hearing, vision and speech (age 3-and up) assessments. As well, there will be a variety of community agencies that serve families in Waterloo region. Laurelwood Family Fun Fair, Old Oak Park, Laurelwood Drive, Waterloo

Friday, September 10th, 5:00pm-11:00pm and Saturday, September 11th, 11:00am-11:00pm

Midway rides, games and concessions, children's Progamming, Pet Parade, Dunk Tank, Outdoor Food Court, Silent Auction, Music, Demonstrations, Laurelwood's Got Talent Show, Movie Under the Stars, and so much more!!! All Proceeds go to our new neighbours, the John M. Harper District Branch Library and the Stork Family YMCA on Fisher-Hallman and Laurelwood Drive. Guelph Superwalk, Silver Creek Park, Guelph

2010 marks the 20th anniversary of SuperWalk and it will be Parkinson Society Canada’s biggest fundraising event yet! In 2009, $2.6 million was raised nationally through SuperWalk, helping fund 16 new research programs as well as providing resources for education, advocacy and support services to the over 100,000 Canadians living with this debilitating disease. This year it is our goal to raise $3 million, $900,000 of which is hoped to come from generous supporters in Central and Northern Ontario. This is a fun family event with participants ranging from infancy and on! You can even register your family as a team. Everyone is welcome!

Mighty Machines Showcase, Bingemans, 425 Bingemans Centre Drive, Kitchener

The Mighty Machines Showcase is a family oriented community event that brings Mighty Machines to life, providing adults and kids a chance to see construction and other service vehicles up close. Touch them! Investigate them! Talk to the people that operate them! Since 2004, over 25,000 people have attended the event, raising $12,000 for charity. For 2010, the charity will be Strong Start. Now in its twelfth season, the faire is an interactive day consisting of vendors, hands-on displays, food & beverages, games, celtic music, magic, swordplay, ceili (old-fashion Irish dance), authentic costumes & decorations, plus much more. This event is suitable for all ages and has something to offer everyone. It is a great day for the entire family and those interested in history and the arts.
